To add to the growing list of debuts this year, another talented boy group debut from Y2Y Contents Company is coming up! Straying from the usual idol groups specializing in dance music, this new four-member group is named ‘BoM‘ (Blooming of Our Music) and they specialize in ballads.
BoM is comprised of members Raewon, Sechang, Tagoon, and Yua, and each boast a long history of experience. Raewon released two digital singles in 2010, while Sechang was a child actor, as well as a contestant of MBC’s ‘Birth of a Great Star‘. Rapper Tagoon (better known as Mino) was a former Block B trainee, and can be heard in several underground mixtapes (Zico, Hanhae).
Y2Y Contents Company said, “With news of their debut, fans began searching up various portal sites for information regarding the members. They’re regarded as one of the new rookies to keep an eye on by representatives. All four have great visuals and talent, so we hope you look forward to them.”
Sechang especially was praised on ‘Birth of a Great Star’ by legendary singer Lee Eun Mi, who had said, “You have a voice that will make women kneel to the floor.”
Their debut teaser also stars actress Park Eun Bin! Apparently, Sechang and Park Eun Bin were both child actors that appeared in the 2007 SBS drama, “Catch a Kangnam Mother“. Exactly four years later, they’ve met up once again through this music video. Park Eun Bin thus decided to help out a fellow friend’s debut by agreeing to appear in his group’s music video

Other KBS screencaps have also been gaining attention. For example, one (which has been confirmed to be outdated) suggested that SNSD would have a sub-unit of some sort, with Yuri as a possible leader. It was unclear whether this is would be an actual debut or a stage performance. Furthermore, since the cap was outdated, there is a high likelihood that those plans have been changed, so this image has been given little weight.
This information must be taken with a grain of salt, as some of the details already have conflicts (ie. Super Junior has a packed schedule for August and September) or inaccuracies (M-3 and M-1 didn’t debut on the scheduled dates), leading to the possibility that this is an outdated schedule and SM staff have since changed the date of these plans. However, unless drastic changes have been made, many fans anticipate that this depicts the general direction that SME will be taking for the rest of 2011.
Again, as none of these rumors have been validated by SM Entertainment, fans should refrain from making any assumptions regarding this topic
Kim Hyun Joong admits, “Girls who can’t drink aren’t fun”
What do guys usually see in a girl they’re attracted to? Those big eyes? The way she laughs? How well she gets along with your parents? For Kim Hyun Joong, it’s whether a girl can hold her liquor or not.
On a recent airing of KBS‘ “Happy Together”, Hyun Joong divulged that when he sees a girl, he measures her by her drinking capabilities. “I like to drink but if a girl is with me and she can’t drink I don’t think I would have much fun.”
SISTAR’s Hyorin confessed that she has a low tolerance level for alcohol but does enjoy cocktails.

‘TVXQ of Shinjuku’ KINO is on their way to becoming Hallyu stars
A Korean group named KINO is reportedly making waves over in Japan, as they were recently acknowledged by a KBS special titled, ‘K-Pop Makes the World Dance‘. The group is unique in that they’re under a different ‘Hallyu system’ that debuted them in Japan right from the get-go.
The five members formed in September of last year through an audition process that saw over 1,000 potential members. Comprised of Yang Haemin, Joo Jong Hoon, Kwak Yong Hwan, Noh Sung Hwan, and Baek Seung Jae, KINO has been promoting on the streets of Shinjuku and Shinokubo.
They’ve since grown into a formidable band and are considered a specialty of Shinjuku, and they’ve even been nicknamed the ‘TVXQ of Shinjuku’ for their growing popularity.
KINO performs three times a day at a K-pop live concert hall and have reportedly performed for over 60,000 people since their debut. The members are all fluent in Japanese and are skilled in showing off their various talents, such as dance.
Their first mini-album, “Actually“, was released in March and sold out within a week of its release. All 500 of their mini-concerts have been sold out, in addition to eight of their official concerts.
KINO will be crossing over to Korea next month and will be holding their first Korean showcase at the KT Olleh Square Hall.

Cube Entertainment releases ‘Fantasy Land episode 1′ for upcoming family concert
We reported that Cube Entertainment was going to hold their first ever family concert!
The announcement was then followed up with the very first ‘Fantasy Land‘ teaser video for the upcoming “United Cube Concert“.
In the video, B2ST’s Yoseob is seen texting the rest of the Cube family about the huge event. Every Cube star (including members of B2ST, 4minute, and G.NA) respond with enthusiasm, but they’re all puzzled as to why they didn’t hear back from Dongwoon.
It incites a flurry of messages, as everyone bugs Dongwoon to respond. He suddenly appears behind Yoseob, and laughs as he quips that he already knew about the concert. In the end, poor Yoseob looks dejected as he sulkily steps up for his turn on the shoot.

Hyomin appointed as T-ara’s new leader
T-ara will be switching leaders from Boram to Hyomin for their “Roly-Poly” comeback next month.
Core Contents Media explained, “In order to instill a sense of responsibility in each of the members, we have decided to change the leader for each new album release. We will be passing the leader role onto members who have not been leader yet. The reason Eunjung was leader during their debut was because she and Hyomin had trained the longest with T-ara, and we felt that she would be the best fit.”
They continued, “Likewise, Hyomin has been chosen for T-ara’s Japanese and ‘Roly-Poly’ promotions for the same reasons as Eunjung. We have made this decision after much discussions with both the members and our agency.”
T-ara will be making their comeback on July 1st with “Roly-Poly”, a track composed by Shinsadong Tiger and Choi Kyu Sung.
